ELDER LAW
I
also am involved in various Elder Law matters, and I am a member of the
National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys and ElderCareMatters©. Many of the same issues arise in Elder Law
as in Disability Law. At the same time,
many people approaching retirement age have tax issues relating to their
retirement accounts, social security, and capital gains. If you need estate planning advice, have
questions about Medicaid, or need advice about issues affecting your parents, please call me at 513.563.1595 or send me an email to schedule an appointment for a free consultation.
ABOUT ME
I
received my Master of Laws in Taxation in 2003 from Capital University Law
School and my Juris Doctor degree from the University of Cincinnati College of
Law. I am married and have two
children, a married daughter and a son.
My son was born in 1984 and suffers from autism, a neurological disorder
that affects a growing number of Americans.
It is currently thought that as many as 1 in 150 newborns suffer from
autism.
The vast majority of individuals who have autism will never be
able to live independently nor support themselves financially. It is because of my son that I have become involved
as an attorney drafting disability trusts, supplemental services trusts,
special needs trusts, and Medicaid trusts.
Also, I have been representing clients with IRS problems since January
of 2002. About 75% of my law practice is devoted to helping people fight
the IRS and another 20% or so of my law practice involves drafting special
needs trusts and advising the elderly about estate planning and Medicaid
planning.
